The Manhattan Cross Country Club promotes age-appropriate distance running to encourage lifetime fitness and health. The Club is supported by private donations, grants, and fundraising.

2015 SEASON SCHEDULE
The Club encourages principles of good sportsmanship, respect for teammates and a positive attitude toward self-improvement, confidence-building and goal-setting.
The Club's signature event is the Body First School Fitness Challenge. From 2008-2014, this event has awarded $46,500 to local schools in support of physical education. An additional $12,000 is expected to be awarded on Sept. 26, 2015..
To put on a quality road race or similar event, it takes a lot of planning — and help! Don’t let that scare you off, though; there are good resources available to help you put on a good race that people will enjoy and come back for.
