In many cases, you should probably plan to hire someone experienced with race software to do your event’s results. Volunteers likely will be trained to help with timing, but compiling results usually requires prior experience.

We know of two sources available to the public for timing and results (there’s obviously a lot more, so send us information on adding links to this page).

Manhattan Cross Country Club — The cost is $1 per registered runner, with a minimum cost of $100. Payable as a donation to the Manhattan Cross Country Club, which provides training for finish line workers (including timers) and produces all results. The club also will input all pre-registered and race day entries. Automatic timing using Hy-Tek software. Your cost may be tax-deductible; the Manhattan Cross Country Club is a 501(c)3 non profit organization through the Road Runners Clubs of America.

Mid-America Running Association — MARA (based in Kansas City) provides chip timing for local races. For information, contact Bill Glauz or Mike Lundgren.
